Horbit is operated by Monolith. This page explains what we store, why, and who helps us process it.
Two kinds of data
Account data about the people who run a workspace, and community data a workspace holds about its own members and attendees. For community data, the workspace is the controller and Horbit processes it on their instructions.
Isolation
Each Orbit’s members, events and messages are kept separate from every other Orbit.
Processors we use
Paystack (payments), our mail provider or the workspace’s own SMTP (email), Naija SMS and Africa’s Talking (SMS), WhatsApp through the workspace’s linked number, OpenAI or Anthropic (only when someone uses AI drafting), and cloud object storage (files and images).
Security
Passwords are hashed; API keys are stored hashed; third-party credentials and calendar tokens are encrypted at rest; sign-in supports passkeys and two-step verification.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use. Members should contact the workspace that holds their data; we will assist.
Unsubscribing
Every campaign email carries an unsubscribe link, and WhatsApp opt-outs are honoured across campaigns.
